b. Experience developing estimates using RS Means, PACES, E4Clicks, or other methods.
c. Experience with coordinating Environmental Compliance (NEPA, Permits, Hazardous materials, historical preservation, etc…). The Electrical Engineer will not be required to develop the compliance documents, but will provide project information to the 9 CES Environmental flight personnel.
d. Familiarity with UFC and IEEE documents and guidance.

Design Engineer (Electrical – Fire/Protective Systems)

Provide mechanical engineering expertise to support system design and performance analyses for facility and infrastructure projects across the Center:
​
Provide security and fire protection systems expertise to support VESDA fire alarm system, JCI and Siemens® fire alarm systems, to include the ability to develop system designs and specifications, and to provide oversight of the installation, test, and maintenance of these systems. KFESS III
Provide broad engineering support for assigned designs/projects, regardless of engineering discipline:
Assist in developing/refining the requirements for institutional projects (implemented by a NASA contractor) with scope that involves design and/or construction.
Develop customer discretionary Requirements Definition Agreements (RDAs) which contain at a minimum, the purpose, major objectives, project scope, related items not in scope, system impacts, operational constraints, and risks.

Participate in project site walkdowns and Project Scoping Agreements (PSAs).
Support the Project Manager (PM) in developing the Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Technical Evaluations.
Review designs submitted by a NASA contractor to ensure accuracy, applicability, and maintainability.
Review submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs).
Provide design consultation services during the execution phase of projects.
